I think it's a case of "Facebook killed the internet Forum"

Depends on the subject I suppose. I use two other forums and they are very active.
BTW, am I the only person that doesn't like using facebook??

Facebook is crap, full of fools who think they have loads of friends telling meaningless drivel about their boring lives and trying to convince everyone how they have a fantastic life.
Yeah right.
BTW I don't much like Facebook.

Yes...other forums still seem to be quite busy.
I'm rather sitting on the fence with Facebook.
Every now and again i lose interest.

Why the heck this forum remains so quiet beats me though

I have had this discussion with Colin before, the forum activity seems to come in highs and lows.
Dunno why?
I hardley touch my radio gear now I'm working, APRS is on all the time but there is little activity there now....
My sat beams need a bit of work so I'm going to try and get them fixed up and have a listen on there soon, although that's gone a bit sh1t since the opened up sat use to all, you have jokers on there now just like on the repeaters a couple of years back.....

If it was summer I would understand it. People tend to get out more when the days are longer. Are there any mags you could try getting an article into to try and promote things?

Ha! Lee contacted the RSGB and they never even answered him!!!
I contacted the local club and they never answered me......
I always thought radio was about communication, seems many don't understand that one....

Lee and i advertise this Forum in some of the other forums.
Interestingly, more people tend to browse the forum rather than post.
I've heard many local operators talking on the air about what's been posted in here. Some of them are not even registered on here.

It might be because most of the posts in the forum have nothing whatsoever to do with radio.

Actually Im almost tempted to say most of the members have nothing to do with radio but thats a bit harsh.......possibly

Most posts in the blog Paul, not the forum as a whole!

As for radio, anybody fancy climbing a huge tree to help put my G5 back up? You will need climbing gear!!!!
