Where did I leave my time machine....

Just found these adverts in The Shortwave Magazine, from the late 40's:

A lot of that equipment back then was ex. army.
A type 38 mark 2 was actually a backpack radio made by Murphy.

I've got one, and it cost me slightly more than £3!!! I wish I could go back in time, with the £30 mine cost me, and buy like, 100 or so! and some 19 sets for good measure!
